چکیده

Timing analysis is a collection of mathematically based techniques that enable a system, together with its software, to be analysed off-line without the need for system execution. The result of applying the analysis, is a set of guarantees regarding the worst-case behaviour of the system – under normal system operation, these worst-case guarantees will be met at run-time. The guarantees include the worst-case execution times of software, worst-case communications latencies and worst-case resource usage, eg. memory. These calculated guarantees can be compared with the timing and resource usage requirements of the system to see if they will be met at run-time.

Towards Automating Interface Control Documents Elaboration and Management

Avionic systems have been migrating from the legacy federated architecture towards an integrated modular architecture (IMA). The IMA architecture replaces the equipment principle by a set of interoperable components (hardware and software). The interoperability between the integrated components requires a detailed specification and description of their interfaces, which, in the avionic domain, ...

Towards Automatic Robust Planning for the Discrete Commanding of Aerospace Equipment

An increasing requirement for satellites, space probes and (unmanned) aircraft is that they exhibit robust behaviour without direct human intervention. Autonomous operation is required in spite of incomplete knowledge of an uncertain environment. In particular, embedded equipment that processes sensing data must consider uncertain input parameters while managing its own activities. We show how ...

Scheduling in Dependable Integrated Modular Avionics

In the recent development of avionics systems, Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) is advocated for next generation architecture that needs integration of mixedcriticality real-time applications. These integrated applications meet their own timing constraints while sharing avionics computer resources. To guarantee timing constraints and dependability of each application, an IMA-based system is eq...

Optimisation of assembly scheduling in VCIM systems using genetic algorithm

Assembly plays an important role in any production system as it constitutes a significant portion of the lead time and cost of a product. Virtual computer-integrated manufacturing (VCIM) system is a modern production system being conceptually developed to extend the application of traditional computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) system to global level. Assembly scheduling in VCIM systems is ...

Coordinating Order Acceptance and Batch Delivery for an Integrated Supply Chain Scheduling

This paper develops Order Acceptance for an Integrated Production-Distribution Problem in which Batch Delivery is implemented. The aim of this problem is to coordinate: (1) rejecting some of the orders (2) production scheduling of the accepted orders and (3) batch delivery to maximize Total Net Profit. A Mixed Integer Programming is proposed for the problem. In addition, a hybrid meta-heuristic...
